A FINE OLD 16th Century Pub In the heart of laxfield

The Low House (also known as The Kings’ Head) is a rare gem of a pub. Nestled behind All Saints Church in the beautiful rural village of Laxfield, it offers a glimpse of a bygone world whilst serving the needs of its 21st century patrons.

Our fine old 16th century thatched pub has no bar but serves beer straight from the casks in the Tap Room. The interior is largely unchanged since the 19th Century, with small drinking rooms, high backed settles and a warm open fire in the winter.

In the Card Room, the Farmers’ table, the Settle and the dining room, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy this unique Suffolk pub. We also have a beautiful large pub garden, (which was once the village bowling green), which is a wonderful place to be when the weather is fine.
